Taipei, July 11 (CNA) The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum will present a special water, music, and light display in commemoration of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who died after being shot in Nara, Japan Friday.
At 9 p.m. this Monday and Tuesday, the museum, located in Chiayi County, will stage the water and light show set to the sounds of “Hana wo Saku,” a song that Abe played on the piano in 2021 as a tribute to those who died during the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake.
Rehearsals began Sunday and those that live near the museum could see a beam of white light that shot from the compound into the sky, the museum said.
In addition to the special shows on Monday and Tuesday, the museum will also be putting on daily water shows between July 1 and Oct. 10 every 20 minutes from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
