Travellers can now transit through the Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport en route to a third country. Transit service had been suspended for more than one year at the airport.
In comes after the Central Epidemic Command Center eased border control measures.
The ban on inbound passengers being picked up by friends at the airport has-been lifted.
On arrival, transit passengers will be escorted by airline crew to a security checkpoint, and will then wait to board a connecting flight.
Duty-free purchases or meals ordered can be delivered to them, the airport said.
